INDUSTRY Property SCOPE OF WORK Content Creation Branded Collateral Monthly Brand Strategy & Design Execution THE CLIENT BuildHer Collective is a Melbourne-based powerhouse redefining the way women approach renovating, building and property development. Co-founded by the inspiring Rebeka Morgan, they empower women to take the lead in residential construction — offering education, mentorship, and an unshakeable community. Their offerings span from online courses and workshops to a chart-topping podcast and published book, all built around the idea that building a home should feel exciting, not overwhelming. With a visual identity that's confident, clever, and distinctly female, they’ve built a cult-like following of women who are done playing small. THE BRIEF BuildHer needed a consistent creative force behind the scenes — someone to own the visual language of the brand and ensure everything that went out the door looked, felt, and sounded on brand. Enter First Sense. Our role became clear: to be the brand gatekeeper. Not just designing one-off assets, but embedding ourselves into the rhythm of the business to lead all things design and storytelling — we have delivered everything from monthly social media and blog content, creation of campaign assets, podcast editing and publishing, through to updating digital course collateral, print resources, design of monthly and quarterly print magazines and everything in between. THE PROCESS Each fortnight, we work on-site with the BuildHer team, concepting, curating and creating assets that don’t just look pretty — they lead with clarity, creativity and purpose. We ask the right questions, push when needed, and obsess over the details — This is visual communication function, feeling, and fuel for growth. Through collaboration with the wider team and a strong grasp of the brand's DNA, we ensure each asset does more than just look good — it connects, converts, and builds trust. This isn’t your standard design-on-demand relationship. So trusted is the partnership, we’ve even been invited into the team photoshoots! And that says everything. THE OUTCOME As BuildHer’s embedded brand and design partner, First Sense has helped elevate the brand, so that very piece of content is crafted with intention — to educate, empower, and inspire women to build the homes (and lives) they’ve always dreamed of. Most notably, we designed and delivered the latest edition of Quarters — a beautiful, 172-page coffee-table-style publication that covers all things Design when it comes to building and renovating. We also led the recent rebrand of their members’ community from DevelopHers Inner Circle to The Collective, creating a fresh new identity and monthly magazine that reflects the evolution of their growing network. Our work has supported stronger community connection, brand loyalty that converts, and a steady pipeline of students and partners who see BuildHer and think: This is for me.
